On a bench you will just need to check resistance. You need to look for opens or big jumps in the resistance. Best way is on the motor powered up.

I just stripped off a small section of insulation off each wire so I could us a multimeter to check it and adjust it while on the motor. Disconnect the temp sender on the port side before checking. At idle it should put out .25 volts. Wot is around 7.5 if I remember correctly but not as critical as idle.

Thanks KOMOTION I'll give that a try.
There's no need to cut the insulation. Take a junk piece of stranded wire and strip a few inches, cut off a few 3-inch strands, bend them into a U-shape, tuck them into the female connector holes and plug the connector back together with the wire strands hanging out of the side of the connector boot. Wrap the strands around the test leads.

Just to give an idea of the problem I'm having I have a99 200 Merc efi and its a random thing but sometimes when I hit the gas it will just bog out or just won't get any rpm and it doesn't do it all the time just very random .almost everything has been replaced, stator, switch boxes, trigger new injectors, volt regs , coils, fuel pressure regulator,etc..the only things that haven't been are the electric fuel pump, tps sensor, and the iap sensor and the temp sensor
