S. C. Melonbelly Rally sept 22, 2012

We are gonna try and have the rally one more time. Last year not much participation by my outboard guys, had a great turn out by the jet and v-drive friends. I know there are a lot of hi-po ourboard in the area, not sure why they are no shows. We are not very far away for most of S.C. as well as the GA. and N.C. guys. Anyway we're gonna try again. Already have the SCDNR permit. Gonna line up the rescue squad.
The rally will be Sept. 22 at Johnson Landing on Lake Robinson located in Hartsville, S. C. The course will be 800ft.

We will past the hat again this year as always for the REscue squad donation.

We hope to see everyone there this year outboards, jets and v-drives.

For anybody who has never been this is one of the best sites for a rally. Boat ramp on site, room on the bank for boats, grassy area to put up tents and chairs and you can see the drag course from the bank. Also Sammy and Emily are great hosts :thumbsup::D.

There is plenty of room for tents, but all of the campsites for travel trailer amd motorhomes are full. This is a great little place and we want everyone to come out for a great day of riding, playing and of course telling all of our best TALL tales.
Can't wait to see everyone again and look forward to seeing a bunch of new comers.

Not a total restore...took the floor in the rear out to see what was going on and found nothing bad....So put it back together....rebuilt the merc with solid mounts....thats about all it needed. Looking for a prop now. I see you put a new transom in? Hows the tv doing? Had to go there....sorry....

Been trying to sell it, but really starting think otherwise.....

Im leavin Afghanistan on tuesday and gunna try to make it up there with a few other guys from Charleston! It will be my first time so i hope everything keeps goin as planned so i can go. It would be a nice way to enjoy my first weekend back!

Good luck over there and hope that u can make it. Where do u usually boat at im in the tail race pretty often. we need to get some guys together and burns some gas on a river run or something to get more speed boats in the river. I hear that there use to be a bunch around here.

Usually we do the Ashley river deal cause the landing is less than a mile from the house but we also go out to the tail race as well. I just bought this boat in April when i was home on R&R so its new to the low country water ways. After i get back in town from Japan in December for good we'll have to link up and do some riding. There is quite a few fast boats in Chas but seems like they are never together at the same place at the same time. we got 2 STV's a warhawk a few laser's and a allison that ride with us.

i'm in Georgetown ,I run down the black river to waccamaw,then to place called sandy island where a few of us river guys hang out,been to the tail race before,been awhile,but I thought it was a little too small a area for me.Come up here sometime and hangout,ramp right down from my house,gated and no idiots to deal with.

hey sammy, is there going to be any laser bass boats there? we just got our boat back a few months ago, after a year long wait[new transom,knees,stringers,deck,paint. rebuilt the 2.4 bp and now has the hours on break-in. it's time to let her rip. just wandering if there is anyone from the summerville area thats going sat. maybe we could follow up together

There are a couple of places in hartsville that sell Renegade 110. Not sure if he has any left. I work in hartsville & will check @ lunch to see if he has any left. If you can use Avgas 100LL, the Hartsville airport is only 5 minutes from the lake & they will sell to anyone w $.

Will report back after lunch on the Renegade 110.

That would not be racing gas, its called macho juice. Help Sammy feel 10 feet tall and bullit proof. Also helps him with holding the peddle down longer.......

There is a little station that has 110 race fuel in Hartsville.

It is 1st STOP on hwy 151 about 5 min. from lake.

the price is $8.25 gal.
