Hello,

Thanks for your prompt e-mail, it was just exactly what i wanted and can you assure me that i will not be disappointed buying this from you. I am really interested in purchasing your ad. Am a merchant marine and am offshore right now. I would like you to answer this question about the item;

1. Are there any other issues with the item not mentioned on Craigslist?

I will be glad if you can tell other interested buyers that the item has been sold. I'm offering the exact price listed so please kindly withdraw the ad from Craigslist. I will be paying via PayPal. I can only pay through pay pal at the moment as i do not have access to my bank account online, but i have it attached to my pay pal account, and this is why i insisted on using PayPal to pay. If this is acceptable, advice soon and if you don't have an account, you can easily create an account fast and easy at www.paypal.com (http://www.paypal.com/). I will need you to provide the following information to facilitate the Payment

1.Your PayPal Email Address.

2.Your address for pick up.

I will be responsible for moving, I will have my mover who handle my shipping from anywhere in the world come over for the pickup after i have made the payment.

Thank you for

Jim , Was your boat even listed on Craigs List ?
My next door neighbor almost got caught up in one of these scams selling a Lawn Tractor .
They where very convincing in her case , right down to bogus banking information , in this area .
The Big Red Flag , on her deal , was a buyer out of Texas coming to florida , to pick up a $800.oo lawn mower with a $2500.oo check

At least this scammer can write proper English! I love the one that promises a ton of money if you will help with a bank transfer, I guess it works every once in a while.

Whenever I get an email about my "ITEM" I just tell them that my item is hanging between my legs and that's where it's gonna stay.

I can see that a genuine buyer wouldnt use the word "item" where this scammer has... but is a paypal address and a physical address enough information for someone to scam you??
I feel that those 2 addresses this person is requesting are easy enough to obtain from most sellers..

yet but I bet it gets better when he's going to send you the shipping money too BUT you have to send him a MONEY ORDER 1st to cover the shipping costs and the shipping company will clear his paypal check...................:eek:

I got the same email. I usually play along with it and act like I'm so happy I sold it. I let them waste their time and effort to send me an overnight money order, then I rip it up when I get it. Then when they email me and ask if I got it I keep telling them for a few days that I haven't got it. Then I'll give them a real piece of my mind and tell them that I've been aware of their scam and I never hear from them again.
