Merc oil, $39 a gallon ?!!.....Did I just get ripped off ?

I had to get some Merc dinosaur oil to break these fresh rings in, and 'bout fell out when I saw the price tag on the shelf.....

Did I get hosed?, or is it this high all over?

I was used to getting Penzoil blend, and I was getting it for $14 a gallon or so.....hurt my feelings......:nonod::icon_bs:

Is this the same place that sold you the steering bolt? My merc dealer sells the reg merc oil for 22 bucks a gal. your jug.....Look for a new place.

WOW.....I DID get ripped off.....this came from the Auto Parts place that always sells me the Penzoil blend for cheaper than Walmart does.....

Friggin Valvoline at Napa is like 4 bucks a quart. That's all I use for break in.

i think merc changed something in there reg quicksilver oil the new stuff take forever to seat rings i have a ton of the really old stuff left just for break in val also works great for break in

Buy a gallon for $20 at Wally World or whatever and return it to the guys that hijacked your for the $40 one.

we were in west marine and I commented on the price of full synthetic penzoil amd the older upity checkout lady says "it's oil, all the oil prices are up" and I replied "it's not oil, it's man made" :mad:
