Hey guys:
I just wanted to get an idea for how everyone launches their
SS2000s when they are alone.
I would think the best way would be to back
in and then walk out to the front trailer step in the water and get in the boat
that way?
Anyone have any tips? I am sure there will be times I need to
launch and put it back on the trailer myself.
Thanks for the help!

I wouldnt crawl on the deck. What I do with my GS is like you say push her off with a bow line twice the boat length. Once she clears the trailer i tug her over to the side. Ill lightly beech her incase of waves. Ill then jump back in the truck park and hurry back down. I unfasten the bow line. I walk her out to knee deep and push off and hop in from the rear swim step. Sit down trim down from full up and start her up and go down the lake untill the temp reach 100 then for the first run bring her up to speed slower than the rest of the times.
To put back on trailer. i come in real slow motor trimming up. I then shut down and trim all up. {I always inspect the ramp area and know exactly were im going to beach were theres no rocks in the water} As I glide in Ill be ready to hop out the side rear to stop her from beaching hard. ill guid her up slow and then attach the bow line and go get the truck. Ill back in so the back of the bunks are just 1/4 to 1/2 wet. Then Ill push the GS off shore holding the bow line. the hull then floats out behind the trailer. I use the rope to direct her. Ill pull the hull up on the bunks as far as I can then hook up and wind her the rest. DONE
it all takes 1 min! I have yet to see anyone ever be faster at the ramp than me. not braging but it works every time no matter what the ramp. i have launched my GS 100,s of time by my self this way. Cheers

Our ramp around here typically have docks, so you can hook up two ropes, pull the boat back off the trailer and either just tie it up (if the dock runs straight back) or pull it around the corner and tie it up. I usually drive the boat onto the trailer, though with the tunnels and the width of the trailer, my bunks go right up against the inside of the sponsons and there is only about 1/2" room for error. I need to add those silly looking pvc whiskers to line me up, particularly when the idle is high, steering unresponsive at idle, and the bow is sticking up in the air just catching any wind.
I do have to say that I really love, for the first time, owning a boat that even someone my size can climb on the deck with no concern.
