So--did the poster of the second "ad" bust the guy selling the boat in the first ad?

I think you are correct, look at the papers on the side of the hull in second pic down on the first ad, that is usually from a repo, or insurance deal. No phone number or anything in the second ad.

Not to mention it says "Insurance Auto Auctions" across the bottom of the pics in the first ad.

The insurance companys dont say the boat is unrepairable they just cant get a legit repair shop to do the job for less than 75% of the total value so they just pay the owner what it is insured for and the guy who is now selling it bought it from the insurance company.
He fixes it and now its up for sale again.
Just like the 100 mph blue progression that was all over this website a few years ago it was blown over fixed then re-sold and then in a minor car accident and now back on the bay the guy is probably just waiting for things to cool down so it can go back up for sale again.
