Im trying to find out where to put the temp sender on my 2.4 200.
its a 1989 black max and has two temp senders in the heads one on each side.
these are alarm senders and i have a temp sender for a teleflex guage.
which one or where do i put it?? or anyone know which side is 180 deg. and 200 deg.

I think the different range temp senders were for two different motors....(the length of the wire tells which sender it is)

I have a guage on each side of my motor.....no temp buzzer sender....They go in the little pockets between the 1st spark plug, and the 2nd plug.

it wouldnt fit on the alarm sender hole. should it go inbetween the top of the heads?

I pulled the thermostat out of the starboard head to measure how far it extended into the head, then drilled and tapped a 1/8" NPT straight down in the top of the head so that I've got enough clearance for the T-stat to open and not hit the tip of the sender unit. So far, it works OK. I can post a picture tonight.

And that measures WATER temp, and not HEAD temp.....(it should show a lower number)

If "yes it does" is tha answer to my question it means that that sensor is a temp guage sensor. Not an alarm sensor.............

the buzzer sender is a kinda flat looking insert.....the temp sender is more of a probe....
