I remember the boat from the ModVp racing days back in late eightys with John Hall racing it briefly?
George claimed it turned a 32 wheel 6800-7000,but he didnt run with the rest of us in group,so cant say...

That dont look like an OMC to me. looks like a Merc V-6 from the pics. Looks like a carb motor too.

It is a merc. Look at the midsection motor mount covers. And it deff. looks like carbs. Would love to know more about it and how it runs. Would be cool to see it up close and hear it....:eek:

Yep powerpacks on that side are obvious that its a Merc....like they said....wheres the video of it running? Looks good without the cowl...

Here's the only video that I know of ..... my Allison Bassboat running with the Merc/Turbo in Knoxville, TN back in the day. I wish we would have documented it better. I have a few pics on the second generation motor we built on the computer at the house.... I'll try to upload a few later.

Great videos..... love the sound of the engine..... COOL !!!!!!!

In the 1st video....... kind of funny, boat driver becomes video guy (who's driving the boat? :eek: ) then turns back into boat driver.
