Video #2 has a cool Lake X commercial at 7:50 mark :) Also Its nice to see Galen Burdens interview. Other names like Dewit Diweese,Roe Yale, Marty Logan,Dorsey Frabbot,Shane Stoval,Steve Tillman (the drag prop Legend)Glen Reynolds,Paul Freeman,Doc Tripp,Dave Busch with his 3.0 ltr using a Ferrari throttle body,Jeff Cleinmark,Kevin Mummford,John Lentzkow and his expansion chambers, All these guys helped make Outboard drag racing what it is today  As Gary (Instigator would say) "Good Stuff" :D
I think it would be great to see some young blood get inspired to drag race from these videos. Our sport still has a lot of life left in it IMO :)

There isn't much in life I'd like to see than a resurgence in outboard drag racing. The price of it is what has been killing it over the last 10 years. Boats are still somewhat reasonable but the engine side of the equation has gotten out of hand. 1800 dollar sets of pistons is a prime example. If you keep charging what the market will bear instead of what it cost to build a part with a reasonable profit you end up killing the market eventually. Thanks Mother Mercury

Erik you hit the nail on the head the motor parts and prices have gone way way out of hand Brunswick milked us for every penny if people only knew what a piston actually cost they would be like seriously

You can buy an entire set of 8, 8 decent coated hypereutectic pistons for a small block for or Chevy for what 1,1!!!!!!! Vertex hypereutectic piston for a 200 Efi costs.
I know there is more volume in small block part sales but damn it's not that much different that it needs to be 8x the cost.
And i know ive mentioned this before but boat weights have gotten way to light in the entry level classes, a lot of classes like performance bass and ski for example have gone away completely for lack of participation compared to years back. One reason? Weights got so light you had to have a comp weight boat to make weight. You couldn't have a newer model standard layup Bullet with your normal cranking battery and make weight
lots of people I know have mentioned wanting to try it at their local events to them but just can't get started.
Advertisement also is not out there enough, not enough information on the websites etc.
Ok I'm done beating the dead horse.
Oh and FYI there is a race in Orange , Texas this weekend but you wouldn't know it from here. No posts I see about it coming up!!

Here is the last drag race I ran was in 2009. Got second place. 800' I took my two losses in the final round of River Racer class to Jeff Tyner. I was running a stock 280 and Tyner ran a very stout Drag with 150 lbs comp. Our final pass is the first pass in the second video. Think I did pretty good considering it was a brand new boat and only had three test passes the day before in 25 knot winds and manual trimming (no trim timer) with only 12 volts slow trim. Good times
All the classes had some great races.
