The Mate may take kindly to 225hp... I have never seen a sea drive, so just curious if they have any know issues that I should know of..
And whats with the setback bracket that looks like it is part of the motor?

Terrible engine on a Checkmate. It was designed for a full transom boat like a big Sportcraft or something. Plenty of problems with that motor starting with parts availability. Corrosion is a big problem, hoses kink easily, sets too low in the water etc.............. Get a real motor and a jack plate
