I was wondering if anyone has experience with these and info on how to purchase. I'm considering getting one to see if it might help with the holeshot on my Checkmate Enchanter. I know the Allison one is hichly touted and there was another one, I believe it was made by Mike that some of the go fast writers recommended, but I can't seem to find any recent info. I didn't see any on the boats at the Augusta Southern Nationals. Any info would be appreciated.

I have a Checkmate Pulsare 2100BR. I bought my foil from "Bman" (Bryan) over on fastbass.com. Just search on "Bman foil". It is an Allison copy. Excellent price, fast shipping, and it works great! Contact email is: [email protected] ([email protected])

You may also consider a skid planner. I made one from a 1/2" plastic kitchen cutting board and aluminum angle. The foil and skid planner really help hole shot, low speed planning, and backwash coming off plane.

Brilliant! I have a Checkmate Starflite, and am in the process of designing a hole shot plate. I LOVE the cutting board design! I was struggling with how to make it out of material thick enough to countersink any underside screw/bolt heads to keep the drag to a minimum. Brilliant! Thank You!
