The DSRA is yet again putting up a 10,000 purse for the Mt. Pleasant, Tx. race to be held at Town Lake on July 21st and 22nd! And on top of that, local sponsors have kicked in a additional 100 to 150 bucks per class to the winner and a extra 50 for second place. That will put the total purse closer to 12,000 dollars. This is awesome and amazing. After the first two races the club has already paid out over 30,000 dollars in prize money and with this race it will prolly be over 45,000 in prize money after 3 races with 2 more to go! As racers we always say we dont do this for the money, but im here to tell you if you rip off a couple wins in a row with the kind of money the DSRA is paying out it makes it alot easier to go to the next race and almost justify all the time we spend with the boats. Plus we are hearing there may be alot bigger prize for winning the high points title than there has been in the past! This is all possible because of a few people's tremendous efforts to try and grow this sport we all love so much. A huge thanks to all of the DSRA crew, sponsors, and all the "nutts" that call themselves outboard drag boat racers! Keep up the awesome job Guys and Gals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Justin iv been all over racing and this small lake in the middle of town looks like it was built for outboard drag boat racing! The only place that comes close to it as a pour race site is Lake Bulow in Pineville La. Other than firebird and wheatland. It is a great place that everybody should go to!

Maybe ya'll should move closer to the DSRA
Thought about that once or twice.
