I had one of those on a 12foot Speedliner,switched to a 13 foot Speedliner Caravelle and a Merc 30H!!!

That's a nice one for sure. We have a 1928 Speeditwin and they were 16 hp back then, can't remember the cubes, but it's a really fun motor to run. That '49 is 22 hp and 30 cubes. A real powerhouse. Nothing starts like the Evinrudes that had the primer and Tillotson carbs. Plus they had excellent ignitions. After you run a few old Evinrude opposed twins and then run a few Johnsons, you realize what a great thing it was that Evinrude bought Johnson. Much more refined feeling and easier starting.
Really cool, interesting other items he is selling as well. Did you stumble on the motor looking at his bmx stuff?

Actually now and then I look at outboard motors on Ebay; that's how I ended up finding my new-in-box 1973 Evinrude 6. Now and then you can really find some spectacular things there.
