If this is a center horn model and the ECU does not have DIGITAL on it, the external TPI is out out maybe, need to check your fuel pressure and be sure you have 39 psi at the rail. Might have a fuel restriction somewhere between the tank and the injectors. Lots of variables can cause this. You should see a light cone of fuel at closed throttle and MUCH MORE with the throttle in the wide open position. Could be a bad ECU as well.

TPI ( throttle posistion indicator ) on your engine is either hooked to the throttle blade shaft OR is worked with a vacume signal through a tee that attaches to the fuel regulator and the TPI. The highest vacume pressure your motor will see is at idle, at that point the ECU will deliver a miminum amount of fuel ( to idle ) when the throttle starts to open the TPI either sends an electrical signal or a direct voltage movement signal from the shaft that there is a depleation of vacume OR the throttle is opening and its time to start to deliver fuel..
Excuse the spelling but hopefully folks can muddle through it..

Can be a switchbox as the ECU takes signal off one of the switch boxes to fire the injector 3 drivers, but they ( injectors ) fire in tandum with the coils hooked to that switchbox, some motors take signal off starboard some off portswitch box realy doesn't matter as there is only 3 drivers in an ECU and the fire ( #1 and #2 ) ( # 3 and #4 ) then ( #5 and #6 ) , you can also check your injectors for health with a 9 volt battery..

John,
IF you are seeing good spark from the switchbox ( AND SPARK AT THE PROPER TIME ) and that is the one that also jumps to the ECU the answer is no the switch box should be good..
