1989 hst hydro with 2.5 merc need help new to sport

Ok so i have a few questions on this engine and boat. First off i seen that there is only one pisser for the water pumping but the lowee skirt has holes for two which way is better.how many pounds of pressureshould the water impeller run.what r guys doin to reinforce the steering column so the fiberglass dont crack. Also for parts a cowling for engine.a rear seat pad for back didnt come with boat. All i can think of right now any advice at all would be great thanks.

What 2.5? Racing or fishing motor? Fishers only have one pee stream. Water pressure is different between the two as well.

O sorry it is a 2.5 260 race engine. And on the ecm some one wrote a 48 drag any idea what that stands for

It is the program version. The A48 is a great lake curve. It uses a 39 psi regulator, and has a rev limit of 10,500 RPM or 11,500, I cant remember.
