It was my pleasure to visit Mr Wayne Taylor about a month ago had a great time . We picked one of his Alien hoods with the scoop before it had time to get ripe ( no latches or gasket ) .
I would like to get some detailed PICTURES and ideas of ways to latch or fasten these aftermarket hoods . I need a source for the parts and the gasket prices too .
I believe it would look like it would run 120 mph if i was a drinking person maybe 125 if i can get it put on my boat.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Did you get the bottom pan for the cowl? Here is the Merc break down. You'll just need two base gaskets instead of one assuming you don't already have a HP motor.
www.mcmaster.com has cowl latches that are similaer to mercs and would work but I don't have the numbers for the parts.

Gonna dremel out the air intakes this weekend and take it to be custom painted next week.
Getting the latches from Bobs machine shop.
Haven't gotten that far yet ta even think about the gaskets.
K.K.

It would seem the gasket from a standard Alien Cowl from Mercury would work or whatever Bob's sends out with their cowls would more than likely work also. The perimeters will be the same as well as the shape for the lower part.
