I was getting ready to bolt my exhaust adapter to the mid section & can't find the 3 original bolts. So I scavenged some bolts from an old 20" fishin' motor & when I tried to tighten them, they felt like they were stripped. Now it appears that the bolt needs to be somewhere in between 3/8"-16 & 7/16"-14. I am thinking it is an "M" thread. Does anyone know. I cannot find the part by serial # on Mercury Parts Express. It is a 1998 Drag serial # 0G787123.

They're not metric. Should be 7/16"

Definitely 7/16 (the fishin motor is 3/8)

I think they were studs on that motor, not bolts. Maybe that's why you can't find em?

Yup...7/16" coarse (standard) thread...2" long with a flat and lock washer is perfect. Just put new ones on my mid today.

Thanks!
7/16" would not pass through the holes in the fishin motor adapter until I drilled them a little larger. Had to get 3-1/2" long to pass through the 2 layers of adapter. What a "McGivered" up installation. All is well now.
