A new to me money pit... I mean hobby.
I'm as green to this RC boat thing as can be but I think I'll get it figured out fast enough.
It needs a bit of work but this is what I have to start with.

Hull looks familiar but for the life of me I dont remember brand, old Dumas I think ?? How long is it and whats it weigh as it sits ?
I assume thats a 7.5 K&B ?

It weighs 4lbs. It will be about twice that with the motor(11 cc K&B), the electronics and batteries.It's 37" long.

Thats the one Foley, had one of Chambers old ones when he sold his stuff. That 67 kaboom would be much better served on a newer hull, not that its modern by any means-just saying.Will make a cool vintage boat,
Bud colors would be a good Tribute to the late Herb Stewart(the only rc guy sponsored by Bud back in the day), he had a lot of input on the original and set a few records in the pioneer days of F/E with one of those hulls :cheers:

paint it like this one.
I've run that hull and its a good one back in the day.You should see 40 something when you get her up and running. When you get her dialed in put a pipe on it and really go.:thumbsup:
