Did it smoke the lipo's and the ESC? Wonder if it didnt get wet on that first flip ?
I KNOW you are not gonna wanna hear this , but Im gonna say it. PLEASE - dont let him swim after the dead boat, I KNOW I KNOW- He is an excellent swimmer ect ect ect - But its really a bad idea, rig up a fishing pole with a tennis ball or plug/get a little dingy- something. Every year we loose a model boater-nine times out of ten and experienced swimmer- because they did this. Enough of my rant- its AWESOME he enjoys the boat, you guys ought to catch one of the NAMBA D3 races in your area- tons of fun.
In fact there is a big race in Brandon this weekend.

I was wondering the same thing... ESC, lipo, or motor? I got my neighbor's old Traxxas Nitro Vee running last night. Sat for years, carb, motor and both servos froze up, and bad glow plug. WD-40, new glow plug, batteries and fuel, adjustment, good as new again. :)
