since Holly & I recently re discovered the shooting range,we attended the Tampa gun show this weekend to poke around the vendors, was a line of folks around 2-3 hunderd going in ,once inside it was shoulder to shoulder everywhere, vendors told us that they had never seen so many at their shows & that sales were nonstop.,spent most of the day & the crouds of people never slowed.we have noticed similar crouds at the indoor ranges as well. lots of handgun & tactical wepon sales going on, just wondering if this is a sign??

I worked a local Gun show this morning and at 8am there was a line around the building waiting for it to open. All the booths were sold out (I was lucky enough to reserve one a few weeks ago) I agree, the market has never been stronger.

Be sure to wear ear protection!
My friends grandson got a 243 for Christmas and was sighting it in at the deer camp and I was cooking breakfast and walked behind him when he fired (he was under the lean-to on the picnic table) My ears have been ringing since BEFORE Christmas ...... they call it tinnitus and there is no real cure!
It is driving me nuts!

I have tinnitus and it wasn't caused by just one shot from a rifle.

Well, neither was mine, but that one put it over the edge.
I shot my 45-70 without ear protection about a year ago and could not hear for hours, but it went away .... this time the ringing will not quit!

I gotcha! ;) I shot my .45 at a group of armadillos a few years back and it took a while for me to recover too. I don't even run an impact for a long time with out plugs or a head set.
You ever hear of "Quietus"? I wonder if it works? http://www.quietrelief.com/
I guess I may as well try it. I run a fan when I sleep.... also have a fish tank going. ;)

If I didn't have tinnitas I probably wouldn't hear anything. 40+ years being a mechanic.

I have been using lipo-flavonoid for about a month, but it is not helping. (they say give it 2 months)
If by June there is no relief I will try Quietus, but they are probably the same thing!

Guys I too have tinnitus and tried all types of treatments to no avail. Then a friend told me about Quietus so I looked into it and it seems to be a scam. www.henrythehealthhound.org/ (http://www.henrythehealthhound.org/) They seem to have alot of complaints against them. I have been to several doctors specializing in tinnitus. All doctors agree that only 1/3 of people get rid of tinnitus. All the treatments, pills, drops, steriods only WORK in a 1/3 of the people. The only thing I haven't tried is acupuncture, again my doctors informed me that it only works in a 1/3 of the people. But please check out the site I mentioned before you spend your hundred dollars. I wear earplugs when at work & on long motorcycle rides, earmuffs when shooting. back on track, recently found out that a firearm store chain is remodelling & setting up shop with an indoor range a few miles from where i live, that will make 6 or 7 gunshops within 15 miles from me,4 with indoor ranges, waaaay more fun than bowling!:D:thumbsup:
