Anybody here ever boat on Lake Raystown in Pa?

... once on a visit back to the motherland, Pennsylvania. My brother arranged to have his boat-enabled buddy take us all for a cruise on Raystown. Beautiful impoundment. 20ish miles long of winding river valley. Great views everywhere. Would work well for a fast outboard.

I don't travel to much so i can't compare to other
lakes but i think its great!
We go for about 10 days at the end of july
For 7 years now.
It don't get any better then having your
boat 5 feet from your motorhome in the water
and sometimes works out that we have a full
moon great night rides or night flying on the
smooth water.

Jerry are they still having the roundy round outboard races there ?

I remember back in the 80's Raystown and Beltsville where the
place to race .......

I'm not sure about that ,Will have to check
it out.
I live about 40 mins from beltsville but stay
away because of the wild kids on waverunners
and i heard they now have a speed limit.

didn't have it last year.great lake cool place to boat 30 miles by boat and 118 miles of shoreline:D

I guess the Greenie Weenie's must of found some endangered
seaweed there and protested that boat racing is harmfull to
it's environment ......... :rolleyes:

Yeh ....... Speed limit today hp regulations tomorrow :o
