Not much seat time in this vid. always had a teather. didnt really worry bout life vest but will have one. got bette rtowards end of summer. Also at the beginning i crossed a pontoon wake. scared me a bit.

Yes , next time hook up that little string that shuts the motor off. You know the one .. its tied onto that front cleat lookin thingy .. Put a nice loop on the end and then put it around your neck ... that way , if there's trouble , you can use your head .. ;)

cool video jeff and that's a good looking vector. you also got some good advice above. there are two types of people in this sport, those who have been wet and those that will. its best to do everything you can to stay in the second group as long as possible. :D

A Vector is probably the most fun you can have with your clothes on, that said, it is a very dangerous boat with a V6 and an unexperienced driver. So while you're using the rub rails as training wheels, put on a good vest and use a kill switch, and get some seat time with no other boats around. I know some experienced drivers that never learned how to drive a Vector, gave up and sold it. it's a hard boat to master, but once you do, you can drive almost anything. Be careful.

Yeah I got the life vest lecture. Teather was always attached to my hip. This was more so the beginning when I just bought it. Handleing became way easier after a summer of being behind the wheel. I agree with everything said above. Thanks though.
