Renegade 15' Speedfish?

Some may have read about my crashed Viper.... I've been searching for another and haven't had any luck. I figured I'd buy something to tinker with until I find a Viper replacement. So I found a deal on a little flats boat made by Renegade Marine. It's 15 feet long, has a proper pad like a speedy v-bottom and after a few blasts around the lake I discovered that it gets up on the pad and flies just like one. Despite being buried (prop shaft 5" below pad) the little 75 horse Mercury pushes it 43 mph with a 22 pitch Laser. The boat is pretty much turn-key however, I can't help but wonder how it would run with my 140 on it :reddevil: Anybody want to sell an OMC binnacle control that will work with a late 70's V4?251531251532

I have the Renegade 18 - Nomad with a 2 liter 150 Merc and run at 59 - 60 light on fuel ,4 batteries full cooler and me ( a lot ) . They are great little boats and we likely built your poling platform when we did all there aluminum work . I am friends with the Scott family who built those boats . Enjoy !!

$4.00 gas has me V6 free for now so the Viper is the only 'stream I want. There are a whole bunch of them on craigslist but I bought this little thing for about the same price as a core and floor for one of these "cheap boats"

My core and floor and transom are redone I just hav my eye on a nicer one. If u want to talk giv me pm or ill giv u my #. If not ok just tryin to help out. Hope u get back on the water either way that's all that matters

BTW the new Renegades are a different company , they owe a buddy of mine a TON of money so don't buy anything from them !!! Got a picture of your 18? I'm curious, what horsepower is it rated for? The 15 is only rated for a 75, seems a little conservative considering it's heavier and deeper than the Viper which is rated for 120hp. By the way, you have a great collection of boats! :cheers:

The 18 was rated for 150 HP , yours should be sweet with the 4 cylinder OMC 140 on it . It's no Allison or Hydrostream so be carefull .
