Just recently bought a 1989 18' Action Marine pulled up the floor to check the stringers, which are solid. I found what looks like CPVC foam outboard of the stringers. I pulled it out to do a thorough inspection. Now that it's time to put the floor back in, I wonder if anyone knows the reason for the foam. Is it for flotation, or is it somehow structural. I hate that stuff because if it gets wet it holds water forever. Should I re-pour it---or not?

But Action Dave Seems to know the most about Actions

How is Margate? I had a cabinet shop there when I lived in Coral Springs. I really don't want that crap back in the hull if I don't need it. Years ago people used it to stiffen the hull, but then there's the gettin wet issue. Hope someone has a definite answer. Thanks for the input!
