I though that is was an old chopper, but why does it say Dennis?
It doesn't have any numbers on it.

Used to be a guy named Tim Dennis that worked on props... Never knew him to cast his own props...
Looks like an A4 series big-ear Chopper, but the Dennis logo looks cast-in. Weird.
Was probably pitched UP to a 24, judging by the looks of the tip cupping.
If you like it, run it!

Dennis the menus prop. It looks good, have ya run it yet? Have ya messured those blades? They sure look over 5 inchs at the widest point? By the looks of those paddles it will displace some H2O. In a 24 maybe quite rapidly. Tell us how it runs if you ever try it out.

Back in the old days when I worked for Pendergrass (G&R Prop Shop). We used to weld our blades on blank hub bodies. Second Effort did the same as well... This could be an old welded chopper style prop from back in the day. Some were good, some were bad!

The prop could use some work that’s why I haven’t tried it out on the Allison. I did however try it on my old checkmate, and it would cavitate bad out of the hole, and only turn 5200 rpm out of a 150 merc. James the blades are 5” and its 14.5 overall.
Thanks, guys and thanks for sharing some history with us propguy.

Thanks Jared

That is a Dennis Cavanaugh prop. He worked for Mercury Racing prop division. Google his name and can learn more about him.
