Yeah I know, I try not to either. After all this is the scream & fly forum.

Not to depress anyone but a good buddy of mine was killed in a car wreck yesterday morning. Details are sketchy but he may have been run off the road. Considering Bill was an experienced long haul trucker on his way to Tampa to pick up a rig bound for the west coast I have my doubts it was pilot error.

If it's not too much to ask please say a prayer for his wife Teresa & son Willy Jr.

Thanks y'all. Just found out his service is Sunday at noon @ Farleys here in Venice. Not particularly looking forward to it.

In a cruel act of irony Teresa is my buddy Dave's sister. Dave's beautiful wife Carol dropped dead from a stroke 'bout 6 mos ago. Wtf!?

never even considered mortality, in fact, i used to say getting old is the realization that you are vincible (i dont think it is a word but its the opposite of invincible). all that changed when my daughter was born.

really sorry to hear about your friend, his family is on my prayer list.

Thanks again y'all. Funeral home did a top notch job on the service yesterday. Very professional & tastefully catered toward Bill'n Teresa'n Willy. But I'll tell ya what. Next time I go to a funeral I wanna see some old faces. Ain't that the way it's sposed to be? Eff this burying people in their early 40s!

Tttt I took a 'mental health' day off today. Figgered I wouldn't be worth a crap at the shop anyway. Good thing I'm the boss. Really needed a day to assimilate, & clear my head. This one hit purty close to home.

RIP Bill.
