Tim the tool man would be proud!!!!! Received my leakdown tester from Balzy today. I appreciate high quality tools and this one is superb!!!!!!
Can't wait to try it; looks impressive just sitting on the tool bench. Nice work Mike.

That air shipping plastic is more than the way most of my gifts are wrapped. Thanks for the gift and I hope you like yours. Merry Christmas. Hey are there any TigerSharks left around lake Mendota?

I met a guy about five years ago that had one (I think he said it was built by a company on the yahara river). Never saw the boat but he said he kept it at a friends house just down the river (South of the Muskie Lounge aka Jingles on the River).

I had just bought a jet boat and got the pump clogged up and he told me what to do to get it unclogged (jumped in the water and froze my gonads as this was in October but I got the seaweed through it though).

Do you have any pictures (I'm not sure I know what they look like but if its the boat I'm thinking of they look like the old low profile California performance hulls)?

BTW, you're right I forgot you certainly wrapped yours very well in that bubble wrap. It took me ten minutes to get it out, the anticipation was killing me. :D I hope the one I had sent to you was wrapped as well. :D

Almost forgot, do you boat on the Chain of Lakes? My family used to have a cabin on the Eastern shore of Long Lake. Growing up I thought those lakes were endless. Went up there about 4 years ago with the jet boat and felt like I was in a bathtub. :D

The place was Inland marine. Thumper knew exactly what I was talking about; he's the first one in a long time that ever heard of them. I lived in Madtown from 1977 to 1981 on campus(Ag Engineering school) Lived on lake Mendota;2years in dorms, one year at the Surf(owned by a guy called jingles) and the last year at a Frat next door to the Surf(Delta Upsilon) They had a big parking lot and I needed a place to park my 68 Mustang, 79 Ford 4x4 pickup and the Tiger Shark which I had bought in 1978 at the age of 19. Couldn't afford a new Vector back then so thats what I bought for 2400.00. Now 20 years later I go and buy a 77 Vector: go figure.
I did my first testing of the Vector after Scream and Flying it on the chain and agree its like a bathtub. I got my first taste of wide open spaces riding with John Dorn at BTTW and admit there is no comparison but I think its time for a STV/Mirage/HST in the near future.
Look under Flatbottom setup help needed in Tech. I posted a pic of my 'shark there a couple of months ago. Actually Vector Mike did it for me. I'll bring it up to the top for you.
Are you from Madison? Alot of the guys in our frat were from Madison and if your the same age as Tim(Thumper) your the same age as me,44. Sorry this was so long, it's been a while since I've had a reply to a post!!!!!!

Craig,

I will have to check out that photo. Yeah, I know Thumper pretty darn well. He stood up in my wedding a few years back (wife married me anyway) and consider him to be one of my closest friends. He got me back into boating about 6 or 7 years ago.

I live in Mc Farland but work in Madison and boat the lakes around here. I always miss BTTW because I can't take off work at that time of year (end of August through September) but will try again this year.

I like my HST, it ain't the fastest boat on the water but it is really reliable as far as handling goes. I'm sure we'll see each other this coming summer.

Admitting that you ebven know Thumper is scary. Admitting that he stood up in your wedding is not real smart. But admitting that you consider him one of your closest friends in public, well that's just plain ignorant !!!!!!!!!! Now nobdy's gonna talk ta ya no more............ Just kidding Fathumper. I just had Thump come up to my bro's place in MN to help us celebrate the Packers kickig the Queens asses !!!!!!!!!!!

Balzy,

I know I've stooped to a new low but I gotta make sure I have a place to stay when I venture up to Appleton. :D

I like the way you have the Thumper with the circular frosted edge in that photo.
