BlackMax Prop.... Will it fit on a Merc 115 TOP?

Just like the title says. Ive found a prop for a good price. It was on a 175 Black Max. Ive got a Merc 115 Inline 6 1976... Will it fit???

i think the hub will be a small hub on the 115 and a large on the v-6 prop and it would not fit.

He said something about it being compatiable with any "alpha one" lower?

I thought that the splines were the same? But the 175 prop was just larger???

They are splined alike but the hub part of the prop is larger on v-6 except for I think the xr2 lower someone correct me here. Rick

Your inline will have the 4.25" gearcase. Except for the XR4 and some XR6 engines, the V6 merc hubs are larger and props won't fit your engine. Even pitch lasers will fit your boat. What's the boat?

Resto in progress. Waiting on weather to break for paint.
New Transom/deck/stringers/kneebraces... Gelcoat on hull bottom, brightside is about to be on the sides. Then rig away..
PS- all gelcoat and pre-kote was "ROLLED" on. No spray.... (Hopefully spray when brightside goes on)

If it was me, I'd start with a 20" Laser. A nice used one won't cost too much, and you can always sell it if it doesn't work out.

i was gonna give you a prop if you paid the shipping. just to get you buy till you can find a good sst prop.
but all i found was a like new 2 blade prop. its a 19p
