Those are all no good, I'll give you 50 bucks for all four, because I'm a nice guy:D

Looks like a cleaver on the left, maybe a Hill copy of a Hoss next, a Mazco RE3 next, and an offshore cut Chopper on the far right.

The cleaver is considered a stern lifter, the 3 other round ear props are considered bow lifters. The different blade styles are to customize for the needs of different hulls, and would need to be tested on specific hulls for effectiveness.

would they only work on motors that run with the prop commin out of the water?

ill be runnin the hull in this video real soon. its almost identical to mine with a modified running surface. the only difference is mine will have a jackplate. im told that the added steback (6") will help fly the bow a bit more, thus requiring less motor trim.

As a very broad generalization, V hulls tend to like the added lift of a round ear prop. Most guys who prefer cleavers on V hulls, are using very high horsepower engines.

By my definition, that boat in the video is running very flat, and wet, and would probably be better with as much bow lift as you could get.

not sure how much higher it could get with the sponsons on it. they kinda act as wheely bars. its runnin 62 in that video with the 150ho etec.

A good through hub 4 blade is going to be better on that hull. Try an OMC shooter or renegade, or a merc trophy.

The whole key to going faster, is to reduce the wetted area. With the "negative setback", and the trim tabs, getting that boat to fly seems unlikely . I think your only option is to pile as much power as you can on the back.

i tried a trophy on mine. the holeshot was terrible. im getting a prop that started life as a bravo that was heavily worked by croxton. the boat is the fastest with a 23 raker with the croxton bravo about 1 mph off that.

the hull im getting has a different style tab than whats in the pics above (my boat). they are also mounted in a position that has them quite a bit higher than normal when fully retracted.

you never know when a 225ho or 250ho might wind up on the transom.....

the boat im getting has seen 62 light and 58 with full fuel, 2 fat guys, cooler, fishin gear, etc. if thats all i get than im happy. if i can scratch mid 60's + light and do 60 loaded id pee my pants.

That is, hands down, the easiest way to go faster.

Awhile back, I had a 150 on my boat, ran about 78 mph, but I wanted 80 or better. I could have knocked myself out, and run 81-82 with it, with a lot of time and expense. Bolting on a 200 powerhead took literally minutes, and immediately produced an 85 mph top speed, and was probably cheaper.

Mine's only rated for 140, and it's 36 years old:eek:

Be careful with engine height and water pressure/temperature. It doesn't look like you have a low water pick up.

I can run the motor at +3.5" without over heating it.

I have 2 responces to this statement 1st Raker only comes in even #erd pitches, 20, 22, 24, 26 etc and Trophy props are 100% thru hub exhaust props and have very excellent take of power, Im guessing that you had the much more popular "Trophy PLUSS" that lhas a slightly smaller hub and allows some exhaust into the blades and really "slipps" upon take off and I personally dont like them for just that reason, the Renegade also has the smaller hub that lets exhaust into the blades BUT,,,, the RENEGADE OFFSHORE prop has a larger hum and hooks up great, It is my prop of choice for my flats boat
