21 skater, what did the water pickup in the sponson look like?

my 21 skater has a flange w/ hose mounted inside the sponson for the water pickup, but nothing on the outside. i was wondering if anyone had pictures of what it was supposed to look like. from what i understand it was a piece of tubing that stuck out, any idea of size? thanks!
