Small ear Chopper- will it work ?

Will a small ear 3 blade chopper work well on a small v-hull in surfacing application?

They have been used on small v-hulls being surfaced since they were started. Kinda why they were made.

What boat and motor combo would you use it on?

I've had two small ear choppers on my SS2000 and I like them a lot. Smart people tell me that the small ear won't last with big power. For me, the small ear has the goldilocks amount of lift. Big ears have too much and the boat is too hard to drive. No lift doesn't work well either.
