Looking for a mom & pop type motel between Key Largo and Islamorada to stay with wife and kids. Bringing the Boston Whaler so place needs to have boat ramp. Have been down many times and stayed at the popular spots with tiki bars and live bands, but would like a little change this time. More relaxing and boating is in order for this trip.

Check out "Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge" . This place would be perfect if you have kids because the "key deer" roam the camp ground. They are the smallest full grown deer you will ever see. They also have motel, rv sites, and tent sites. Thay have their own boat ramp, store, swimming pool, activities. It is an awesome "family" place to stay.

We just did a week at the BayView Inn (I think). On Conk Key, MM 62 about 1/2 way between Islamorada and Marathon. full kitchen in rooms, beach, pool, ramp, dock at your door. And pet friendly.
There were two huge sea turtles swimming though their harbor everyday. Kind by live lobster off the boat 50 yds from your room and burn them on the supplied grills.

I've always loved staying at the Kon-Tiki in Islamorada. Had a small issue with the girl who works there but, after getting in touch with the presedent of the owners group, I'm pretty sure that is taken care of.;) They have a good ramp with good trailer parking, nice docks, very nice rooms and you can get anything from a simple room to a full house. Let me know if you are interested and I'll P.M. you a PH##. Wish I Was Heading Down There NOW! Mike T.:D
