Lost Recycle Bin shortcut and can't find it

I accidentally deleted the Recycle Bin shortcut on my desktop, and I can't find the location of the actual Recycle Bin. I've sent a ton of stuff to it in the meantime and need to get to it to empty it out. I've searched everywhere I can think of. I tried a search and that didn't work either. Running Windows Vista SP2.

Why, oh why, can't we just go back to Windows 95 and pretend this nightmare never happened.

Did you try using "system restore"?

in vista go to control panel>personalization> and look for 'Change desktop icons' up on the left side, open it and put the checkmark back in the selection box and it will reappear back on the desktop.
