Is it spitting back through the intake when it misses?

Put it under load and bring the rpm up and try pulling plug leads again.
What do the plugs look like?

Did it only start when you swaped the reeds?

Check the float levels in the carbs.

Check your fuel pump, top 4 could be starved at low rpm.

does the same under load its from idle to 2000rpm float level dead on

Just trying to eliminate any type of fuel delivery problem by forcing fuel to it.

Check the function of the reeds by running the motor with the airbox off,see if there is air/fuel mix blowing back out of the problem cylinders carbs, could be out of place gaskets or improperly installed reeds? When did this trouble show up,and after what work was done,if any.Im working today if your still lost give me a call,305-394-3354,Chris

He's going to rerun his ignition tests, he may have used an incorrect test procedure. I'm suspicious of that stator. If nothing turns up there, I'll advise him to call you.

How old are wires?

timing light works good to check fire without pulling wires

timing light can pick up a bad refrence signal, good old fashion grounding them out works best imo
