Can someone lighten and balance my 2005 40 merc 3 cyl flywheel. Having a tough time finding someone that wants to touch it. Any help would be greatly appreciated:thumbsup:

Me to, but a V6 H/P flywheel, balance only.

Yes its on a 1652 g3. Ran the motor at 6300 rpm and now i have it back down doing a few more mods. Estimating ill be turning 6500 when it goes back together.

Put a post on fast bass there are a few of them built so 60 hp running well

Hey Marty,
I can balance your merc hipo flywheel for $75 including return shipping. If the 40hp is the same taper I can do it. Otherwise, I'll have to have the crank and see if it'll fit on my balancer.

I also have a crank with a bad journal if someone would want if to make a tool
Monster ,
Lop off the first counterweght , throw that , the wheel and a nut in a box and send it to me . I can cut it and have it balanced and send it back within a few days .

So for the time and price is the benefit of having a lighter flywheel worth it? I have done some research i guess i understand that it will allow your motor to turn higher rpm's with less weight for it to turn. But is doing just the flywheel alone enough to notice a difference?
