Hey All

My buddy that was looking at a cougar went to Toronto and ended up buying a Eagle One center steer tunnel hull. I did a search on here and on google to find they are /were built in Florida. This one is a 2005 model so fairly new. Anyone run one of these? Need to know some setups etc. I also want to make sure he does not blow by my mirage:eek:
He will be bolting on a 2.5 280hp

Thanks in advance for any info!

I am thinking Forkin Crazy had one. Check with him. Good luck.

I bought one new in 2000 and ran it for 3 years with no problems. It liked 6-8 " of set back and about 1.5" above pad. It is basically a Mirage copy so it should run with your Mirage and well over 100 with a 280. I got it back last year in tough shape and haven't had a chance to split it open and see what she looks like. I know Forkin had some pretty serious issues with his but like I said I never had an issue with mine.

Wow are you guys serious?? are they that bad? On my way out tonight to have a look at it, I take it they are not too strong? Keep the comments coming maybe I will have to show him the emails so he can unload it as fast as he got it sigh:nonod:
Wish he would have asked me to post before he bought it. Sooo I guess I don't have to worry about him passing by me then! Thanks guys

Use the search function. There is a thread here about Forkin's experience.

Moderator edit: Guys, let's keep this thread on track with members who have firsthand knowledge to offer, rather than heresay or opinion.

To the moderators edit, I saw Forkins' old boat first hand after Sparky from Vicious Marine got it. Pauls' beef on here was more than justified and 100% legitimate.

Thanks guys will check Forkins experience, thanks Marcus for the tip how you been? Thanks for all the help with my 2.5 a few years back running great now. Went to see my buddys boat, for a 2005 it is not as new looking as I had thought. No stress cracks present yet former owner said it would do 103 with a 225hp promax. Guess we will see come spring. I hope for my buddys sake it does not come apart

I agree we should keep this on track or the thread will just get deleted. I also have first hand experience with Eagle Ones work. Mirage 243 statement is `100% accurate IN MY EXPERIENCE.
