Started....they never end!
Consider using Infinity Kappa speakers. Mine have held up better than any marine speaker I have ever had and mine get sprayed with fresha nd salt water in the fishing boat every time. The ones in the back of my boat are near the floor right above the scuppers where we are constantly washing fish blood out and get covered with salt spray all day. 5 years and the sound GREAT.
The powerhead comes off the little Yamaha after the Suwanee trip. Solid motor mounts, new bushings, and a new steering arm go in. I hope it comes apart easily!

I'm in the midst of another Checkmate Pulsare 2100 rebuild. So far the seats, rear bench, rear backrest and seat box have all been removed. The jackplate has been removed. The bilge has been derigged of all wiring/harnesses/hoses/etc. The bilge has been scrubbed and sanded so I can begin the prep work for a new coat of white BilgeKote. I'm going to tidy up all the wiring/rigging after the bilge is painted. Add a new hyd. jackplate with 12-16" of setback. Replace all the gages with new Livorsi gages and anodized bezels. I may replace the cockpit carpet and the entire hull will get aqua buffed and waxed. Here's a few nasty bilge shots. I'll post some after shots once the bilge is finished!

Yup..the Active Fish mold was used for the 28' Savage until Active Thunder sold the fish boat molds. The newer 28' Savages are built from the original Active Thunder 32' V-bottom molds. By the way, a bunch of Active Thunders are heading to Key West this week for the races and Florida Power Boat club poker run.

Jumped into it big time. Took the V8 Erude off the back of the deck boat. Took off the 25 inch mid and installed a 20 inch mid with a 1.5 spacer. As for the V8 I have hade sleeves made to put DBR 3.3 liter pistons with my port specs. I am getting close to having it all done. This motor should be a reliable animal, 4.4 liter all behind the liner V8. Should produce 450 to 500 hp on pump gas and not need to spin over 7k. I had Racer (Al Stoker) install the sleeves and do the boring and it came out great. Thanks Al. Now it is all about finishing the porting and getting it on Al's dino and put it on the back of the boat. Hope to be finished and on the water by Feb.

I've been making list after list on this. Right now its at Bottoms up having some EXCELLENT care taken of it,

looks good rob, looking forward to seeing you back on the water.
started sanding the 13 whaler and cant seem to get down to good glass without cracks; this restoration for my daughter is going to take longer than i thought.
pulled the motor out of the grandwagoneer, need to get around to putting it back in.
have not started rewiring the euro or getting rid of the *&%$# POS Livorsi gauges and find something that works, and not gotten around to figuring out exactly what the gremlin is in my motor before river ranch.
almost done replacing failed AHC parts in my tow vehicle.
hoping to enclose the splashwell in my 23 donzi this winter, but since yesterday was the first cold day (yeah, 60 is cold in fla), it may not happen this winter.
and... seriously considering another new project that i came across...like i have time for it. yeeeup, i am an idiot.
socalstone, you did an amazing job on the interior, looks great!

Thanks Fish, I think it turned out great. New buckets are Mcleod "Intel" - Absolutely beautiful design. I designed the rest of the interior around them.
Problem is they are way too firm, bottom is too tall and back has a center pad that juts too far forward (I'd rather slouch lol). So have some tweaking to do.
But at least have a few months to get it right before we get warm again.

Were are the pics Rick?? Congrats on selling the Pantera! New boat sure looks like it would have save you from the beating you took crossing the Charlotte Harbor. I saw the bottom of your Pantera more than any part!
Can't wait to see your new boat wet in the Key's this year..
I decided to do a couples projects this winter one of which is fairly normal for me and the other is way off base. The normal project is a 200# 13' Checkmate splash with a 150xs on a t2 mid with a speedmaster and nitrous. Boat is excellent but I want to change 15" mid to 12". I want to move the seat back a little bit and the nitrous rigging under the cowl is getting corrected. I am building a manifold that will mount behind the carbs and have the nitrous and enrichment all contained without hoses running all over the place.
Second project is way different than I am used to. Bought a 21' Seebold that needs major help. It is getting a new rear seat, transom, core, and floor. Splash well is going away and an aluminum support system to tie the motor directly to the stringers. There will be a new transom but it should never see any real stress. The striping and parts of the interior are getting a color change to bring this thing into the correct century looks wise. I have also purchased a 300xs that had a bad cowling on it. It has ben repaired and looks like new. The new decals should be here in a couple days. Other than my pontoon this will be the first boat in many, many years I can take more than one person for a ride.

Looking forward to this years run. Bigger & much more enjoyable boat capable of dealing with the chop. Staying multiple days this time. I'll be sick of snorkling this time and not mad I have to leave. Last time we only spent one night.
