I found this boat locally and decided to get it. You would never guess what year it is by looking at it. It is a '78. It's a Glastron Carlson CV-27. It has twin 350's with alpha drives. I don't know much about how it rides or handles since I haven't had a chance to put it in the water. It will have to wait until next season since I just winterized it. It only has 300 hours on it and seems to be a real survivor.

Beautiful. I was not a Carlson fan in my younger years ("what? are you kidding? A Stream will blow right by!!") but can now appreciate the flowing lines and beautiful design work by Art Carlson. You'll have a lot of fun with that.

I've toyed with buying a couple of CV 23's over the years. The design and lines were ahead of their time. Art Carlson was quite the designer.

Glastrons from that era performed very well here on Long Island Sound. I suspect you're going to be quite pleased with the ride quality.
Great looking boat:thumbsup:

If buying this means your Voyager is hitting the selling block please let me know!
Nice rig. I had a CVX 20 Sprint many years ago. It was a beauty with silver flake.

I've always been a big fan of the Art Carlson era of Glastron boats so when this came up for sale I knew what it was. I had to scramble to sell some other toys to come up with the funds for this thing but I figured it was the only time in my life one of these was going to pop up for sale anywhere near me and I think this has to be one of the nicest surviving examples out there.
People on my lake are probably going to laugh at me as I am launching this thing. I see some cruisers every once and a while but I've never seen a boat with twins on my lake.

No the voyager is our everyday family boat. I really think the CV-27 is going to see limited use since its not going to be fun feeding twins...
