Anyone know of Dolphin Boats? I saw an old one for sale it looks like a reaction. Are they fast or just a slow center consol?

I just got home and on a real computer (was on iphone earlier). It looks like Dolphin Boats is out of Prnceton, FL. Non of the boats on there site look like the one I saw for sale today. I have never seen a Reaction in person but it certainly looks like one. If I were to guess, I looks like it was a late 1980's model. Sold my Checkmate to get into a fast CC in the 19-21ft range. I like Paramounts but like Reactions better. Would buy a new Rabco if I could afford it and wish Action Marine made a smaller CC.

Dolphin boats are best know for their flats boats. I believe they were 18'. I've ridden in one and it's a really smooth ride for such a small boat. Years ago when I worked in a boat shop, I saw one of the bigger Dolphins you're talking about. About 19-20 feet long, sporty lines. Not the same boat as a Reaction though. Hard to tell if they are nice boats because the one I saw was older and poorly maintained.

Yeah this one looks good from a far but is far from good. I don't mind doing the work to make it dry and solid again but if its not a fast hull then I am not interested. Thanks for the info.

I have seen some and they do look good, never been on one though or tried to make one go fast - if it has that built in hook thats an issue for fast. The boat your looking at hasn't been built in quite awhile, good luck on finding good info on the fast part at least. You may try Fla Sportsman or THT as it has more fisherman types and more members that may have known them years ago.
