I had one of their T-20 outboard boats and loved it. I am looking at their T-26's. I am looking a putting a big block with a bravo drive Or Black hawk. I have a couple of questions....

Does anyone know anything boat these boats? I am sure they were copied for some thing can anyone tell what they were copied from? The owner of the company Jim claims the boat should run over 100 with 600hp( Idont doubt it because he nailed the speed of my tx20). He does AWESOME work, like I said I have owed one of his smaller boats before. What should I be looking for in a bravo drive? I would like something to hold under 800 hp I live on a lake so not much wave jumping (none at all). Where would be the best place to find a DEAL on a drive and gimble?

Thanks for all the help in advance i am sure i will have more questions....

Here is a link to the boat I talking about

100+ mph with 600hp on a 26 footer is awful optimistic. I would be thinking more like 750 plus unless that is a flyweight hull and blueprinted to the nuts.

Nice looking boats though.

Nice looking boat, 800hp will be to much for a straight bravo drive, you would propably want a bravo xr. I am not even sure 800 hp would be pushing an xr drive. I am not sure about 100, but 800hp in that boat would still be fast.

Well my plan it to build the boat with about 600hp what ever the boat runs it runs.... I am waiting for Jim to get back to me on what the hull deck and interior will cost me.
I was looking at the bravo xr drives and the blackhawk drive also. Any imput on the black hawk drive?

The blackhawk is a pretty tough drive. Overbuy on the drive if you ever plan to upgrade on power. It's cheaper than a full replacement/re-rig later.

For all out performance, I'd look in to a Mercury dry sump VI or a Konrad drive.

My friend has dual Konrads on a 40' Hustler that runs 110+. It has twin 547" pro charged Chevys with 1200 HP each. I won't say that they are maintenance free with that kind of power, but they are a great drive.

Konrad doesnt have a lower out designed for a cat. Best bet is an IMCO SCX if you want something bullet proof. Blackhawks arent made anymore and are not as strong as an XR or an IMCO

Check with Jonny at Big A Performance Marine, he has one of those rockets all rigged up. He is a rigger, and can tell you what the real numbers are.

I can say Jim builds a nice boat!
Man that 26 is a awesome boat, want to think a white one he built went 80-85 with a 502.
My bet would be the right 650 HP build and outdrive set up that boat should run 100 for sure.
Build a stroker with the right parts(not off shelf cams etc.) and ya can get 650 hp easy on pump gas.
