:confused:I sold my Procraft and Merc 300PM and bought an Allison XB2003T and hung a Merc 2.5L 280 I just bought on it. How do I set up the external fuel pump/filter/water seperator? I have the pump and want to replace the filter. Do I need a water seperator and standard filter and what would work the best???
Thanks for your help!! This should be a great rig when done!

Whatever you do, run a high flow filter under the cowl right before the injectors in conjunction with your system. Cheap insurance.
Diamond Marine has a nice set up layout on their site.

Thanks for all ther info!! Diamond does have a nice set-up. Will the high flow filter along with the set-up starve the motor?

I don't think that the additional filter would affect it at all. I run a water separator filter and a filter under the cowl. I even have the screens on the injectors, no problem.

Thanks for the info! I want to be sure I set this up correcly because it's my first 280. I've ran the 3.0L 300 but can't wait to run this rig!
