Hey guys,

I have an insurance claim pending and need a quick answer if anybody out there knows.

Currently I have a Sprotmaster with a fat shaft that threw a blade and messed up the case in the process, dealing with insurance now to replace it.

In the past I had a JC coned TorqueMaster that performed very good, and in fact at high speeds I thought better than the SM does...but this isn't about performance.

The issue I am concerned with is durability, and I'm trying to decide if, when the insurance pays off, I should go buy another SM or go back to a coned TM. The deciding factor to me is the internals of a SM vs a TM.

I've been told or heard that the TM has the same internals as the SM. Is that true?? or does the SM have heavier duty internals than the TM???

Thanx guys

Bill

I perfer the sporty case dew to the thicker bolt up flange at the top. My bud has a touque master with a cone and it broke in that area most likely because of a surfacing engine hight. Had it repaired twice with no luck so he is now going to a sportmaster case.
Compare yours at the top where the bolts go through to see the diff.

I thought sportmasters used 2 driveshaft bearings, vs 1 on a torquemaster?
