hello,
my buddy recently picked up a checkmate Pulsare 2100br and has a few questions.
1. we need a 20" midsection for a 1994 3.0l carbureted motor so if anyone has one contact me with a price
2. how much set back would u guys recommend
3.prop size/gear ratio
4.how high should the motor be (ie:center of nose cone to pad)
5.with a high speed bow cover what type of speed would he be lookin at with a 225 if it has a few performance upgrades
6. what performance upgrades are the best bang for the buck, he works at a mercury dealer and can do it all himself and order the parts but were lookin for a direction to head in so any help is greatly appreciated.
7.he has a 200 2.5L 20" running motor on a dif boat, should we just put that on,we could do a LWP,prop, reeds, velocity stacks, maybe exhaust mods?

Go to the checkmate forums, LOTS of set-up info for that boat. Yes, minimum 10" of set-back, 13-14" for top end, 25-27" thru-hub,tempest,trophy,fury, etc. prop shaft 1" below. 225 with some mods should be mid-high 70's set up for top end. have fun, great boat.
