Be there or be square. All you guys in the midwest, here's your chance to kick your buddy's ass. (Shleprock, ya better be there) All entry fees will be paid back in cash prizes. There will be classes for everyone. Most of us are getting a room at at the Comfort Inn in Edgerton for Saturday night. I gotta funny feeling we will be racing bar stools after the boat races.

Can't seem to make the poster come up, so here is the link to the details: http://www.shakethelake.net/pix/dragflyer.html

Shleprock can only go if he brings his mechanic with him and only runs it on the trailer
Is there any truth to this or is it just a conspiracy to get someone to share the room??/?

I sure am sorry to hear that you letting your baby go. Sell it to someone that's willing to sell her back to you some day. Wish you could be there this weekend. Stay in touch buddy.

Wow, from looking at the brochure, this thing looks really fun. Ya'll did a nice job getting that thing together. Wish we could get something like that together down here in Southeast Texas. Where did ya'll get the light equipment??

Thanks,
Mark

Balzy or anyone,

I may be able to make it but not race since I still haven't gotten more than a tank full in the recently RP built motor. Someone had posted earlier about directions to the public boat launch. I am familiar with the Anchor Inn and area so I would appreciate directions to the free launch and hope to see you there.

I talked to Thumper and amm trying to get him to come down. His Stream is ailing and may not be ready but who knows.

Thanks Captain,

I have a ride but can't race it since I am still in the breakin process which I want to go through as soon as possible. Sounds like you are in the same situation, breakin that is.

I live in Mc Farland, WI which is just South of Madison so this is only a 25 minute trip for me. I have never put in on Koshkonong though and need directions to the ramp.

If I haven't heard anything I will give you a call Friday night or Saturday morning to find out where to go. Thumper called tonight and is on the edge of going but has to get his boat operational (I offered him a ride in mine but he said he needs to do spins, go figure. After about five Tanqueray and Tonics I do spins just fine, boat or no!!!)

Either way I hope to see you all there, sounds like a lot of fun. I plan on going to Firewater (at least some of it). Looking forward to meeting all you guys, I have been lurking on the board since I bought my HST in May (rumor has it that I used to drive a jetboat). Don't believe everything you hear but always keep your eye out for the big squirt cause I still have it.

It's $10.00 but I know where it is and it's within stumbling distance of the Comfort Inn. I am going to get a room there for Saturday night.

KK, I think you guys should change your reservations to the Comfort for Saturday night too. We may need a place close to the launch by the time the day is over. Plus the bar at the Anchor can be a hoot too. The Comfort Inn is right across the road within walking distance.

Balzy,
Where and at what time are you putting the boat in?

Anchor Inn it is. I think Thumper is getting a room at the Comfort Inn. Captain, if you would like to crash in Mc Farland tonight I have an extra bedroom. I don't know if you want to be that far from the action or not.

Is it safe to share a room with Thumper (seeing as how he was exposing himself in MN just last weekend)?

Does anyone know how far the boat ride from Anchor Inn to Sunset Tavern is? Looks to be quite a distance. I have big fat break-in jets, 92s, and am concerned I will be making a one-way trip. What is the gas situation like on the lake?

The lake is about 6 miles long. I think it the ride about 5 miles.

10:00 or 10:30 sounds good to me. I could do breakfast if anyone wanted to. There is a Red Apple right there. I have been at a different Red Apple and the food was pretty good. In fact we can meet at the Red Apple, that way we wouldn't plug up the launch (often times they want ya to leave once you've launched.

Sounds like I will be storing gas in my pockets, shoes, jugs where ever I can. Have to leave enough room for a big cooler full of Mike's Hard Lemonade though.

I ran into a neighbor last night that said he was going to Shake The Lake on Lake Kegonsa. They have a band on a pontoon boat and sell t-shirts for $10 (proceeds go to charity). At first I thought he was talking about this thing but I guess not. It really is a small world. I wonder if they have broken any copyright laws.

Just talked to thumper, we will be meeting up in Fon Du Lac and he will be there with bells on. Brian Flatoff, check your e-mail. I sent you his # so you guys can meet up in Appleton and caravan to Fon Du Lac together. Nick Kaye will be there too. Maybe we can all go to the free launch from there or we can just splash right there.

Bob H. I would bring a jug or two of gas with ya if you are gonna run a lot.

They have about 10 rooms left at the Comfort Inn right now at 1:50 pm Friday. They are $98.95 for 2 queens or $124.95 for a king with a whirlpool. Ouch !!!!!!!

Balzy,

Saw the hotel on an internet site whilst I was looking for boat launches. They have an indoor pool and whirlpool and must be very proud of their hotel since those are some high charges for a hotel in the middle of nowhere.

Talked with RP today and he has me scared about water pressure (my gauge reads none but I have a good piss stream and thought that was enough indication).

I will have to do some testing with water tube detached tonight after having dinner with parents. Hope I will be able to have a boat on Saturday (I hate riding). Either way I will be their Saturday morning at 10:00.

The Red Apple in "Newville" ? The one by Anchor Inn ? If so,may my wife and I join you all for breakfast? We are coming up with the "Mate" to watch. I dont have the safety equipment to race, and I dont want to embarase myself !!
I have been informed of another public ramp, close to Anchor Inn. Never been to it,but it has been used by people I work with. You turn right, just after you cross the river, and stay to the right at the "fork in the road".It sound's like it must be under the I-90 bridge.

Meet us at the Red Apple by the Anchor Inn. I don't know if we will be eating breakfast or just meeting and launching but it sounds like we should have a pretty good crowd there.
