Fun to drive for sure:) I work at a Dodge dealer and am the Viper tech so I get to drive them alot with out having to pay for one:cool: One of the ones I work on is set up for road racing with wings and skirts and slicks but he still drives it on the street some!!:D They like to overstear with all that torque but with the slicks there unreal!!!

My friend let me jump in and said, "don't get on it too much in second until you get used to it". He was serious. I never had anyone warn me about a mere car. I mean I've been driving for 13 years, I know how to drive a fast car! He was right, that thing will take off right out from under ya!

It's hard to believe it has 6 with all that low end punch.

a couple of my customers have vipers, one of them needed to borrow my 2000 ford F-150 lariat extended cab to move a clothes-dryer...seemed like a fair swap, huh? only drove the viper to lunch but WOW what a car!!!:D

Here's a picture of mine. I've never really stretched mine out, but I think it'd very possibly run as fast or faster in 5th gear than 6th. That .5 ovedrive puts the final gear ratio under 1.8:1 and I'm not sure even the torque of the V10 would pull it at 175+. This one's pure stock.

Here's the reason the Viper's just another car. This car belongs to a real close friend. I've driven it several hundred laps at both Road Atlanta and Roebling Road in Savannah, Ga. It makes the Viper feel like a grandma's car and does everything well, except it's a tiring car to drive fast. It's kind of a point and shoot car because of the power, but has an awful lot of stick and pretty neutral handling unless you get it into a power induced oversteer. I've driven it over 175 which is the fastest I've ever been in a car. It had a LOT left, but there was no room.

Very well rendered definition of a big c@&k on wheels. I liked the Shelby Daytona, and the original Viper coupe like in the pics does it justice. Not sure about the new one yet.

I likes the Vipers and all, just too damn big! I'll stick to the ole' Cobra!
i agree with the Ferari, I had a ride in tweeked F-40 a few years bac, WHOLLY SH**, amazing that a car can accelerate like that. I ride a ZX9-R(900cc crotchrocket) with Nitrous, and that F-40 still spanked me....... AMAZING pice of machinery! Anyone have any pics of THEIR Shelby Cobras???????????

That's a very cool thing! I'm not raining on your parade but I was lucky enough to have a 2003 rag vette for a week and a half this fall. Couldn't afford the insurance on this thing let alone the car ($4500/yr to insure).
6 sp etc. Girlfriends work leased the car for 6 months and gave it to the top producers every couple of weeks (stock brokers, not escorts!) I guess my point is that these cars are crazy fast and there seem to be a couple of us who have been fortunate enough to actually drive one of these monsters. I have pics at work. I'll transer them home and post em. Have fun w/ that thing!! Talk to your staff sarg. Some cherries on top and no onw would out run you!! Actually, after reading one of your other posts, you said you worked in the core or rough neighborhoods. You'd likely come out and find the car stripped:eek:

My buddy who has the Viper also has two Vettes. A ragtop for his wife and a Supercharged coupe for himself. He says the coupe is faster than the Viper. I haven't driven the Vette since it was new and stock.

He owns a performance shop called East Coast Supercharging. He and my other good friend went into business together last year and they just moved their shop down near New Egypt Raceway in S. Jersey on Rt. 539.

Check out their website

I love Vipers! But they are big. Vettes are cool too.

But that Ferrari is the bomb! That is an F1 right?

I have a 911S. It is a lot of fun. It will be a lot more fun when I get the tranny together!

The girls really like it!:D

What are the particulars?

Ilovespeed

Yeah its a NEW 2003 nissan 350 Z performace package...which is the mid pakage(higher than enthousiaste but lower than track pack) it has 287 hp i think ... performance has the 18 inch tires and a 6 speed compared to the manual (who would want a manual in a sports car?) its winter here so she'll be covered wont get to test it till weather spring ..
