I was wondering if anyone had a picture of a specialy services intake they could post. I am reassembling my 2.4 and I was gonna try to flow the intake like they did.

Dont know much about flowing an intake but know about cross drilling them! Have you ever done that for bit top end power?

I wouldn't cross drill one. In some cases it might add a little on top, if you can get it tuned, but tuning is a nightmare and it hurt the bottom on the ones I've tried.

Im not planning on cross drilling Ive heard it can lean out a piston I have a few intakes that are cross drilled if I ever wanna try one.I found an intake that is flowed and Im gonna take an old one and do the same.

Closing the empty voids and smoothing airflo will do way more than xdrilling...the ticket iz to keep up the velosity from rear of carb to reed cage...If U could keep the area the same all the way thru reeds , That would be the perfect job...but, ya juss kan't do it, so juss fill all voids and smooth the walls for air flow...I don't meen polish, just no flat spots or holes...sand paper rough would be the perfect effect of the walls of intake...this w2ill keep the fuel/air mix from hanging to the walls passing thru the manifold...Now, once U do this manifold trick, U have to jet each cyl az it wants...U may wind up with 6 diffrent size jets in ya motor to run it's best and live...This stuffing of the manifold will sholey perk up ya bottom/midrange...good luck,REX:cool:

I dont recomend cross drilling either. I tryed it on a 2.5 and finally ended up sticking a piston,,,,, but it was a seizco, and fit tight at that,, so I cant blaim the manifold. I sure did make some top end ponys though!!!
