verado 250 problem

hello all
i have a 2 mercury 250 verado 2005y/o 250hours in a proline boat.
the problem is : the port engine does not rev more than 4200rpm,we logged it on the computer and it does not show anything wrong, same with a smartcraft readings.the problem i have found opening the engine is that the silicon pipe joining the throtle butterfly to the supercharger has got an air leak.is maybe the problem?

that grommet will cause a high idle and also a boost leak at wot. you need to correct that and also look at the map sensor boot. the old style was straight and would crack . i would go ahead and replace both boots and both grommets on the throttle bodys. make sure you catch all screws, bushings and washers before reassebling. any metal objects thru the supercharger and you have a 5 k mistake. i would also perform a cyl misfire test under load and see if you have a coil going out. 05-06 motors had lots of issues with them.

I agree..... I have been through a coil or two. A cracked or loose grommet will cause a power loss.

the grommet is ok,only silicon pipes throu the butterfly throtle and charger has a little cut.

grommet that bolts to the etc is part # 87928815t. i would start with that.

replace the parts but the engine not run more 5000 rpm,after check fund problem to coil,port engine in 6cyl and std engine in 5 cyl,replace one of this and i solved the problem,i am waiting to sent me another coil to replace.
