Took it for a test ride sunday after fixing the issue of the recirculation line getting caught in the butterflys - it was running great for a half hr or so and all of a sudden it lost about 20% of normal power just like when the stator went bad and was only running on 5 cylinders, this time it's still got spark on all 6 but the 3 on the port side are weak. Is this a normal/common symptom of a stator gone bad??? Thanks for any input.

Is there a switchbox for each bank of cylinders? Apologize for not being up to snuff on the ProMax!
Doesn't seem logical that a stator would affect only the port side?

pointerThanks Pointer, I'll check the manual to see if there are two.

It most likely has a bad coil.... Unplug one coil at a time on the port side until the spark is strong... When it is strong whichever is unplugged is your bad coil
Shaun
BTW there are no switchboxes on a 3 liter

Thanks Shaun, I'll give that a try after work tomorrow.
