Sea foam or BG injector cleaner works great but a good cleaning by Brucato still needs to be done every so often.

How many hours can be expected between cleanings?

Hate to say it but with E!0 youll never find a better fuel cleaner. There is no solvent based fuel system cleaner that you can add a few onces of per tank that comes close to the cleaning power of one gallon of straight alcohol for every 9 gallons of gas in your tank. Youll find that many of these fuel systems cleaners are alcohol based.
IMO, save your money on the additives and put it in the bank for when you need to send your injectors back out to Brucato for a real cleaning.
Read:

And a list of treatments that contain alcohol:

Most guys with 280s have them cleaned every year and most typical years are 20-30 hours of use. I would say every other year is fine, unless you start to see signs of not running right.
Dave, did you get your injectors back yet? Were they out of whack?

I put 25 hrs/yr on my 280 with a mixture of Quickleen/Stabil Marine in every tank of BP or Shell 93 (E10)/Penn 100%.
Send injectors to Brucato each spring and usually at least 3 are flooding.

I have many sets of injectors cleaned from Brucato a week and Linda does tell me that my customers that use a steady dose of SEAFOAM seem to be in better calibration that ones that run just pump gas alone..

Thats is kind of my point. If E10 fuel and the additives your using arent keeping them clean, then why use the additives at all? Save the $ and spend it with Brucato more often IMO.

I use Synergen octane booster. It's base is their injector cleaner. I use only non oxy, because it it readily available for me...at $4.20/ gallon...
I have also used Chevron techron and Valvoline injector cleaner, both with good results.
My engine has never backfired once all year and has run exceptionally well.

There was an old thread on this where Tony and several others talked about injector cleaners. Not sure if I copied it correctly but it is below.

I have had great results with Evinrude Fuel System Cleaner on deposit removel ratio. Mine is basically a fish'in motor but I use it once a year and it cleans up the 1000-2000 range within 30 minutes run time. It has a manitaince ratio but I don't run it until I hear it a bit, but it works.

Chevron "Techron" for cleaning injectors, OMC's "Carbon Guard" for carbon removal.
