heavy duty bearing carrier question

I was thinking of buying a Bobs bearing carrier for my v6 merc and was wondering how hard it was to install. Is this a mod most people do themselves or is it left to the trained professionals?

They are not that hard to install if you have the tools and manual. If you do it don't get too rough removing your carrier and crack the lower unit. I have nothing bad to say about Bob's products, but you might shop around for competitve products , Maybe a post in "parts wanted" other high quality carriers are out there ,some real close. Bob

I have onstalled the Mad mans carrier and they are first class! Very good machine work and made from alumiinum I always had a problem with Bob's being stainless and wonder how much that thing will eat away at the housing. Greg
